Starting off our Summer Newsletter with a look at several results of Helpers’ 2023 grant awards.

Grant Impacts

A Helpers Community Inc’s 2023 grant provided infrastructure support to renovate Camp Via West, an affiliate of Ability Path’s, Sports Field, Cupertino, CA. It is all set for campers with differing needs and abilities to participate in having fun, enjoying the outdoors, and learning new skills.

At Creativity Explored, SF, CA a 2023 Helpers’ grant provided a new kiln for the Art Studio. Ricardo Estella, a Creativity Explored artist, has created an amazing dragon sculpture using the new kiln.

Kainos, 2023 grant recipients’ clients are full of joy at the renovated La Vista residence home, in Redwood City, CA. Residents got to choose their room colors, had input into their bathroom décor, and the living room floor was rebalanced for better accessibility.

Art on the Square July 12 5:00-8:30PM, Hamilton Avenue at Courthouse Square, DT Redwood City.

Enjoy a fun evening at Art on the Square’s Jewelry on the Square. Shop Helpers Artisan Boutique’s Pop-Up. We will feature hand woven jewelry by Naoki, Hope Studio, artist and master weaver; Jewelry from Cedars’ artist Mariana A, and much more! Music by Eagles Tribute Band, Boys of Summer.

Filoli, Art Walk July 27 10:00-7:00PM, July 28, 10:00 – 5:00 PM 86 Canada Rd, Woodside CA

Join us at Filoli, a beautiful sustainable Bay Area estate on the ancestral lands of the Lamchin, an independent tribe of the Ramaytush Ohlone peoples. Built originally as a residence in 1917, it opened to the public in 1975 and is a 501( c) (3) nonprofit and site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. It features a Georgian Revival style mansion, English Renaissance gardens, Gentleman’s Orchards, and hundreds of acres of Natural Land.

Helpers Artisan Boutique Pop-Up Shop will be one of 45 artists’ booths at this inclusive art event.

Shop for art, textiles and jewelry created by artists from Cedars, Hope Studio, Creativity Explored, Ability Path, One Step Beyond, Big Wave Project, Monterey Bay Horsemanship Therapeutic Center, Shane Tarkington Art, Heart by Max, Claraty Art, The Pomeroy Center, Art Explorer, Trajectory Ink People, and Big Al.
