What a joyful day at Common Roots Farm’s Ribbon Cutting Event 9/25/21 in Santa Cruz, CA!!
Congratulations Common Roots Farm!
Supporters, Team Members, the CRF board and Executive Director, Heidi Cartan, from Common Roots Farm, and Helpers Community’s Peggy Backecki, Bob Bachecki, Harry Harrison, Marilyn Harrison, Jan Cohen, members from the community, and the Vice Mayor of Santa Cruz, Sonja Brunner, turned out for the event.
A Helpers Grant provided the support needed for the installation of the perimeter path around the farm which links seed to salad garden, the production farm, post-harvest area, chicken and sheep, orchard and greenhouse as well as new residences. The path is made of ecologically friendly recycled plastic, is permeable and wheel chair accessible. Eventually the path will connect a new barn.
